Burger King Corporation Honors Clipper Corporation with Prestigious Supplier of the Year Award

Burger King Corporation and its purchasing cooperative, Restaurant Services, Inc. (RSI), honored Clipper Corporation, Burger King Corporation's minority and woman-owned supplier, with the prestigious BKC-RSI 2006 Supplier of the Year Award. Clipper is among only seven distinguished honorees nationwide. Clipper was selected based on their impressive track record, coupled with their unwavering commitment to teamwork, dedication and excellence. This is the second consecutive year that Clipper Corporation has received this honor as an outstanding supplier.

In presenting the award to Clipper, Javier Rodriguez, RSI director of equipment and facilities purchasing, said, "It’s no surprise that Clipper Corporation is being honored again as Supplier of the Year for a second year in a row. This is a company that distinguishes itself from others with competitive and proactive service that is unparalleled in the restaurant uniform industry."

President and CEO Lina Hu and vice president of operations Barry Woon, accepted the award on behalf of Clipper Corporation.

Clipper Corporation, founded by President and CEO Lina Hu, has distinguished itself as a major supplier to many of the nation’s largest hospitality providers. The company began its relationship with Burger King Corporation in 1996, initially providing caps and visors to restaurants for the Company's newly implemented uniform program. Clipper Corporation has since expanded operations to include additional uniform items, such as knit and woven shirts, manager ties and scarves. Clipper also supplies plastic gloves as well as standard and customized plastic and metal small-wares in support of Burger King Corporation's national promotions and rollouts.
